If you are experiencing leaking, please double-check and follow the below instructions:

  1. Install the straw into the lid by pulling the straw through the lid until you hear the straw snap into place (Image Step #1)
  2. From the underside of the lid, rotate the straw until the straw's tab is positioned directly over the hole in the lid (Image Step #2)
  3. Push that tab upwards into the lid and over the lid's hole to lock the straw into place and help prevent leaking (using two fingers to push the tab and ensure that it’s fully sealed may help) (Image Step #2)
    • Especially important if you are experiencing leaking with the lid closed or from the sides
  4. [Optional] If using handles, install the handles on the bottle so that the cutouts fit over the ridges of the bottle (Image Step #3)
  5. Fill the cup with liquid before screwing the lid on the bottle and make sure that the dot on the lid/handles is aligned with the pill shape line on the bottle/handles  (Image Step #4)
    • Especially important if you are experiencing leaking with the lid closed or from the sides
  6. If you experience leaking from our valveless straw, this can happen from changes in pressure (e.g. when you first tighten the lid, temperature changes if the cup was stored in the refrigerator, etc.) and with thicker liquids like milk.

In these circumstances, before handing the cup to your child, please:

  1. Unscrew the lid and lift the straw a few centimeters
  2. Rescrew the lid on and check that the lid and handle/bottle alignment (Image Step #4)
  3. Tip the bottle over into a sink
  4. Open the lid to expose the straw and help remove liquid that may be primed in the straw
